so far I have done a chuck roast, first attempt, they were ok, not great.
I have done pork belly burnt ends, turned out great.
I have done pork shoulder burnt ends, also great.
I have even tried bologna burnt ends, very good.
and of course brisket point burnt ends, my favorite part of a brisket...
Looks great. I recently tried my first tomahawk as well. It was a little too rare and after trying to fix that I was little too medium, but taste was pretty good. I know it really did not happen since I dont have pictures...lol.
I use my weber gas grill or my flat top grill after smoking to get a sear. To me the grill grates are a waste of time and money. I have a set in my grill cabinet that I have not even taken the time to clean after I used them a couple of times and was disappointed.
I used the Kirkland(Costco) pellet blend for a pork butt this past weekend. No complaints. Nice smoke for us and developed a nice bark on the butt. Not a lot of ash. I will pick up some more next costco trip.
