That would be my initial thought also. I've always wondered what kind of "relationship" there is between Costco and the vendors that setup shop for a week or so each quarter. I've always assumed they just pay costco for the floor space and it is a way to promote their product in person to a big crowd. I used to see Traeger and Louisiana Grill there every few months but haven't see Louisiana Grill in a long time.I’m betting those are Traeger made pellets given their relationship with Traeger. Not necessarily a bad thing.
I had a bad experience with my last bag of Pit Boss pellets. Bought
a 20 lb bag of Bear Mtn and they worked very well on the first cook. The remainder of pit boss is spread on my veggie garden turning into mulch!!

They had a lot of wood dust in them and my auger was constantly cracking and popping breaking pellets. Once I waited and waited for ignition and finally pulled everything out and the firebox was 3/4 full of pellets. I guess the excess dust buried the hot rod so it couldn't ignite pellets due to draft loss. I also had some occasional temp swings. This was my 3rd 40 lb bag and had good performance from the first 2. I let them know about it but haven't recieved a reply yet.Interesting, as Pitboss pellets are all I use now and always work and taste great for me. So what was your bad experience if you don't mind sharing?

Did you get your auger fire situation sorted out, or has it still been a problem?I never though dust could be a problem until now. Oh, I also had 3 auger fires even after turning down to 200* and I think was the fault of the dust.
I've only run it once since changing to Bear Mtn. Shut it down at 375* and no auger fire.Did you get your auger fire situation sorted out, or has it still been a problem?
That’s great! Hopefully it was just a bad batch of pellets.I've only run it once since changing to Bear Mtn. Shut it down at 375* and no auger fire.
All it takes is one bad pellet to ruin the entire hopper! That’s great! Hopefully it was just a bad batch of pellets.
